Russia's Alexandr "BIack88" Trofimov won the biggest prize thus far in the 2017 Spring Championship of Online Poker after shipping the SCOOP-15-H: $25,000 NLHE [8-Max, High Roller], $2M Gtd for $702,659 as part of a heads-up deal with Belarus' Nikita "fish2013" Bodyakovskiy.
This represents Trofimov's second SCOOP title in his poker career after previously winning the 2011 SCOOP-32-M: $5,200 FL Hold'em [6-Max, $100K Guaranteed] for $85,100 almost six years ago.
The tournament smashed its $2 million guaranteed prize pool with 93 entrants, including 32 reentries, ponying up the $25,000 buy-in to generate a huge $3,065,625 prize pool.
