The main story on Day 1a was that of Daniel Chutrov turning his 30,000 starting stack into 539,500 chips over the course of nine hours. On Day 2 of the 2015 Unibet Open Glasgow Main Event, Chutrov was once again in the headlines for all the right reasons and bagged up 2,024,000 chips at the close of play.
It wasn’t all plain sailing for the young Bulgarian because he saw his stack dwindle during the early levels, which saw him hover around the average stack. But, and it’s a big but, Chutrov’s Day 1a run-good came back to him in the final few levels and he bulldozed his way to the top of the chip counts.
