Description

The Oakland Raiders will have a new starting RB in 2019. Marshawn Lynch retired & the Raiders drafted Josh Jacobs in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Jacobs is the likely replacement for Marshawn Lynch, but the Raiders have not signed Jacobs to his rookie contract & he could be a late arrival to the Raiders training camp at the end of July. Jalen Richard will be the 3rd-down RB while Doug Martin & Chris Warren will compete this season to be the backup running back behind Jacobs. Doug Martin’s durability has been the biggest concern throughout his career & at 30 years old, history has proven that RBs older than 30 begin to decline in production each season. Could this be Martin’s last year on the Raiders? Chris Warren has potential, but there have been concerns about Warren’s weight issues since entering the NFL. However, Warren’s combine numbers show that his weight may not affect the way he moves and produces on the field as much as we thought. Josh Jacobs is the frontrunner to win the starting job, but host Mitchell Renz analyzes the Oakland Raiders RB battle heading into the 2019 NFL Season. Who will be the Raiders starting RB? How many total yards will Josh Jacobs have in 2019? Can Jacobs win Rookie of the Year? Is Doug Martin going to have a significant role on the Raiders offense? Is Chris Warren going to make the Raiders’ 53-man roster? Have we seen the last of DeAndre Washington? Find out on the Raiders Report! LIKE this video?
