The Oakland Raiders highlights so far in 2019 showed flashes at what to expect from Jon Gruden’s offense. In 2018, the Raiders struggled to execute Gruden’s modified west-coast offense, however, 2019 is a whole different story. Thanks to free-agent Tyrell Williams, rookie running back Josh Jacobs and a much improved line, Derek Carr and Co. have the potential to make a splash in AFC West. Tom Downey runs through 6 plays to give you an inside look at Gruden’s offense thus far. Derek Carr got off to a hot start in the 2019 NFL regular season, racking up 259 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions on 22-of-26 passing against the Denver Broncos. Antonio WHO? With Tyrell Williams in the slot, Carr threw a perfectly placed pass to Williams to strike first. Week 1 overall we saw good play calling, design and overall execution. Tyrell Williams has 11 receptions with 151 yards in the first two games of the season and looks to be Derek Carr’s go-to guy. If you like the Raiders game tape segments, let us know in the COMMENTS! Quick passes are the bread and butter of the Raiders offense. It’s simple: get the ball out fast and the defense can’t get pressure. Remember, Derek Carr was sacked a 52 times in 16 games last season, so he’s gotten pretty good at avoiding pressure. Jalen Ramsey is just 24 years old with two pro bowl appearances, driving the Jaguars asking price way up. According to recent reports, the Jaguars are expecting to get “at least a first round pick” in return for the pro-bowl CB and Ramsey is looking to secure the bag. He’s looking for a new deal and the Jags picked up his 5th year option for the 2020 season, causing his base salary will jump from $3.63 million this season to $13.7 million in 2020. SHEESH!
