The San Francisco 49ers report to NFL training camp on July 26th & there are plenty of 49ers rumors & news circulating around the league ahead of camp. Jimmy Garoppolo, Nick Mullens, C.J. Beathard, Nick Bosa, Deebo Samuel & the 49ers defense are the focal points in our top 5 49ers storylines heading into the 2019 NFL season. Jimmy Garoppolo has been injury prone since signing a massive contract with the 49ers. Will 2019 finally be the year that Jimmy Garoppolo stays healthy & lives up to his expectations or will the 49ers have to search for another franchise QB? Speaking of QBs, there is going to be a heated backup QB battle between Nick Mullens & C.J. Beathard. Both players have had their chance to prove their worth after Jimmy G tore his ACL. Nick Mullens seems to be the favorite after having an impressive finish to the 2018 NFL season. Which QB will win the backup QB spot during the 49ers training camp? Also, the top 2 rookies selected by the 49ers in the 2019 NFL draft have been dealing with injuries that have kept them out of team activities this NFL offseason. Nick Bosa has been nursing a hamstring injury that he suffered at the beginning of rookie camp Bosa is expected to be ready for training camp. Deebo Samuel has a minor hip injury that has held him out of practice over the past month. Both Bosa & Samuel have had injury problems dating back to college & the 49ers are hoping that those problems won’t transition into the next level.
