2019 Michigan Football Highlights: Michigan beat Middle Tennessee State 40-19 on Saturday night in Ann Arbor, but the Wolverines got off to a rough start as QB Shea Patterson lost a fumble on the 1st play of the season after a 15 yard scramble - which led to a Middle Tennessee touchdown a few player later. But, the Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines wouldn’t be down for long, as the Josh Gattis aerial-attack took over and Michigan scored 24 straight points to go up 24-7, before MTSU put a TD in the end zone before half. Both Blue Raiders TD’s were off of Michigan turnovers, with the 2nd being a Labvert Hill fumble midway through the second quarter. The 2nd half was rather boring, with Michigan going vanilla on both sides of the ball and not showing much. Dylan McCaffrety got a few series at QB, including a 6 yard TD run in the 3rd quarter. Zach Charbonnet, the highly-touted freshman RB got the start and had a nice night, finishing with 90 yards rushing on 8 carries.
