The defense won today’s football game. Lavert Hill had a crucial red zone interception when Army had an opportunity to go up by two touchdowns. Kwity Paye had the game-sealing strip sack in the second overtime as Michigan survived a nail-biter in the big house. The defensive line was undoubtedly the weakest position on the defense, so it will be interesting to see how they bounce back in the weeks ahead. The secondary didn’t have to do much because Army hoists a run-dominant offense, but when they Army threw it, Michigan’s defensive backs did well. The Linebackers were all over the place with Khaleke Hudson’s 12 tackles, Jordan Glasgow’s 11 tackles & Josh Ross’ 9 tackles.
