The 2020 NFL Draft will be here soon and with the Dallas Cowboys out of the NFL Playoffs, let’s take a look at some of the top Cowboys Draft Targets in Round 1. That includes some notable Draft Prospects like Grant Delpit, Kristian Fulton, Javon Kinlaw and Henry Ruggs. Plus, do the Cowboys have any real shot at CeeDee Lamb or Derrick Brown? The Dallas Cowboys were on the outside looking in during the 1st round of the 2019 NFL Draft. This year the Cowboys have the #17 overall pick but who will the Cowboys draft in the 1st round of the 2020 NFL Draft? Tom Downey, host of the Dallas Cowboys Report, breaks down five players the Cowboys should target in the draft and as a bonus, throws in two players Dallas shouldn’t even get their hopes up for. Cowboys Draft plans should, and will likely focus on defense in the early NFL draft selections. Tom suggests looking at two LSU DB’s in Grant Delpit and Kristian Fulton. The Cowboys’ safety issues were on full display this season especially with Jeff Heath. Xavier Woods has proved to be a keeper but Grant Delpit would give the Cowboys a playmaker they desperately need. So perhaps they’ll target a defensive lineman in Round 1 of the 2020 draft. If so, Javon Kinlaw makes a lot of sense. Kinlaw has the versatility and size that could pique the interest of any team and finished the 2019 season with 6 sacks, 2 pass deflections and 35 tackles. While his production slowed down at the back half of the season, Kinlaw proved he can compete in the SEC and could help take some pressure off DeMarcus Lawrence.
