The players they’re coaching wouldn’t reach the NFL until the late 2020s, but for the roughly 40 youth football coaches gathered at the Steelers’ South Side facility Saturday, that hardly mattered.
It’s never too early to make sure they’re providing the best, and safest, football environment possible.
The Steelers hosted their annual youth football coaches clinic Saturday morning. The night before, they held an information session for, arguably, an even more important group: Youth football mothers.
Both events were designed to help teach how best to create a positive football upbringing for kids playing the game.
