PITTSBURGH -- Antonio Brown was thinking about disadvantaged kids -- and his own four children -- this week as he wrote a check for $100,000 to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
On Snapchat, the Steelers wide receiver showed a check written to the hospital with the message: "Giving back to the kids. Forever grateful."
Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh was involved in Brown's charity softball game over the summer, and Brown said Wednesday he "just wanted to give back" around Christmas time to kids whose health is out of their control.
"Some kids are less fortunate by their health and their situation," Brown, who wrote the check under the header "Touchdown Brown Inc," told reporters Wednesday.
