The stretch run of the 2019 WPIAL season is here. In the final three weeks, teams will make or break their playoff hopes. So far, 18 teams have clinched spots in the 2019 playoffs, including Southmoreland who qualified for the postseason for the first time since 1979. Last week West Greene scored their first win over California since 2003 and became the first team in the WPIAL to clinch a conference title. Last week also featured two of the biggest upsets of the season with Moon topping Peters Twp (who was the only unbeaten team in 5A) and Greensburg Salem beating West Mifflin.
