The WPIAL season is now past the halfway point. Playoff races are heating up across every conference. No one has been eliminated yet and no one has clinched a playoff spot, so the field remains wide open. Last week we saw a number of games get delayed, called early, or moved to Saturday because of the severe storms that moved through the region on Friday night. This weekend’s forecast looks like ideal High School Football weather. Summit Academy put points on the board last week, so now every WPIAL team has scored and no teams are left that have shut out all of their opponents.
