Vance McDonald had his arm in a sling at the Rooney Complex Tuesday, making his availability for next Monday night's game against the Bengals questionable at best.
That became even more apparent Tuesday night when the team signed former Notre Dame tight end Alize Mack to their practice squad. Linebacker Robert Spillane was released to make room for Mack.
A seventh-round draft pick of the Saints this year, Mack caught 36 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns in his final season at Notre Dame. He appeared in two preseason games for the Saints but did not record a catch.
