It's no secret that the Penguins' prospect pool is among the most shallow in the league, in part a byproduct of years of dealing high-end picks and prospects in trades.
The Penguins have often turned to the undrafted free agent market in recent years to deepen the pool, with five of those prospects being signed to entry-level deals this season alone: forwards Corey Andonovski, Jordan Frasca and Ty Glover, defenseman Colin Swoyer, and goaltender Taylor Gauthier.
Oftentimes the team will sign more undrafted free agent prospects after first inviting them to their annual prospect development camp.
