The National Football League is comprised of 8 divisions, 4 in each conference, and has been since they underwent realignment in 2002. Since then, the divisions have remained untouched and fierce rivalries have been born.
Throughout it all some divisions have thrived, often times providing three playoff teams, while others have floundered. This lends itself to people ranking which division is the best in the NFL, as well as which is the worst.
NFL.com’s Gregg Rosenthal spear-headed the attempt of ranking the divisions, but before we get to the rankings let take a look at his criteria to make these rankings:
