As a late-round pick out of the MAC conference, rookie inside linebacker Ulysees Gilbert III has a harder road than most not just to make the roster, but to simply adjust to the speed and performance of the game as it is played at the NFL level.
But the Pittsburgh Steelers’ third of three sixth-round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft has shown that the transition hasn’t been a problem for him, and right now most expect him to be on the inside of the roster bubble, having shown an ability to contribute both defensively and on special teams.
