Training camp is a high-pressure environment. There are 90 players spending almost all of their time together over the course of three weeks, and tensions can start to run high. Especially in the heat, and with the the Steelers running one of the most physical training camps around the NFL with live tackling, brawls have a tendency to break out.
On the second day of padded practice, the first brawl broke out when Elandon Roberts tackles Justin Fields to the ground on a read option play. Rookie OG Mason McCormick took exception to the hit and confronted Roberts, per Alex Kozora on X.
