Tomlin On Green Headache Report: ‘He’s On PUP Because Of His Ankle’

As expected, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was Friday night about the Thursday reports concerning recurring headaches that new tight end Ladarius Green is supposedly suffering from. When asked if could elaborate on those reports, Tomlin said that he wouldn’t.

“I can, but I won’t at this juncture,” said Tomlin. “He’s on PUP because of his ankle, we stated that. He’s rehabbed nice, he’s gotten better in that area, but he’s not ready to go. I’m not going to respond to reports from unnamed sources, no.”

Green, who was placed on the team’s Active PUP list at the start of training camp following offseason surgery to repair his ankle, reportedly suffered three concussions in a span of 10 months starting late in the 2014 regular season.
