Todd Haley won't return as Steelers offensive coordinator

Todd Haley’s tenure as Steelers offensive coordinator ended Wednesday, a team source told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Haley, 50, joined the Steelers in 2012 as offensive coordinator after they did not renew the expired contract of Bruce Arians, who was promoted from receivers coach to coordinator when Mike Tomlin became coach in 2007.

Tomlin will now hire his third offensive coordinator. He could promote Randy Fichtner, who has coached the team’s quarterbacks the past eight seasons, or look elsewhere. Fichtner was offensive coordinator at the University of Memphis when Tomlin hired him to join his initial staff in 2007 as wide receivers coach.
