Third time's the charm? After injury to Hartley, Steelers reportedly trade for kicker Scobee

The Steelers have traded for place kicker Josh Scobee, a 12-year veteran who previously played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to a report from 1010 XL in Jacksonville.

No details were available about what the Steelers dealt away to get Scobee, but the Steelers needed to add a place kicker after Garrett Hartley injured his hamstring in the preseason game at Buffalo on Saturday.

Scobee, a fifth-round draft choice of the Jaguars in 2004, had been their place kicker for the past 11 seasons, but rookie Jason Myers beat him out during the preseason.

Scobee has made 80.
