With the Pittsburgh Steelers regular season opener a week-and-a-half away, the team’s self-imposed deadline for any contract talk is quickly approaching. And according to DT Cam Heyward, he isn’t any closer to getting a deal done than he was months ago.
Speaking to reporters Wednesday, Heyward offered no updates on reaching a long-term extension with the team.
“No new news. There’s nothing to report,” Heyward told reporters via The Trib’s Chris Adamski. “I’m just gonna keep my head down. Continue to control what I can control.”
