The Steelers' rookie class might not produce a starter in 2018

Ben Roethlisberger was right about one thing: The Steelers didn’t need to draft in the third round a quarterback who might not play for at least three years, not when they needed defensive help.

Not when three of the first four picks were offensive players and they didn’t draft an inside linebacker — the weakest position on the team with the biggest need — in any of the seven rounds.

For a team that returns nearly every starter and will be considered one of the AFC favorites to get to the Super Bowl, the Steelers needed to find a player who could come in immediately and start, much like they did last year with T.
