It’s not as obvious as the August offensive struggles, but it’s important enough to take action during next week’s roster cutdowns. The Steelers need to find someone who can better serve as a gunner on the punt team.
The gunners are the first wave of attack against a punt return. They’re the only players who can run downfield before the ball is kicked. But in the first two pre-season games, the gunners haven’t been a factor.
