With Week 1 of the 2018 NFL Preseason in the books for the Pittsburgh Steelers, there was a lot to sift through after the 31-14 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
One of the nuggets recovered is improved depth at quarterback for the Black-and-gold.
Ben Roethlisberger is the entrenched starter, Landry Jones seems to be the inevitable No. 2, and Joshua Dobbs and Mason Rudolph will likely battle for the third and final spot on the quarterback depth chart.
After the game Thursday night, it became apparent how, even with Dobbs’ shortcomings, he shows promise as both a runner and thrower.
