Steelers fans all know the names — Lambert, Ham, Greene, Lloyd, Porter, the list goes on. More so than any other franchise, the Steelers seem to always be ahead of the curve when it comes to the position of Linebacker. In the 70’s they had a non-prototypical middle linebacker. He was a lanky, almost too light for the position, angry, fang-toothed maniac who patrolled sideline to sideline like no other, but with a twist. This maniac could not only stuff a hole on fourth-and-one, but he had a knack rarely seen at the time for dropping into pass coverage.
