With the NFL trade deadline one week away, teams around the league, specifically the AFC, are in an arms race to get as much talent as possible. The Baltimore Ravens are the latest team to add a wide receiver, sending a fifth-round pick to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for Diontae Johnson and a sixth-round pick.
The Steelers traded Johnson to the Panthers in March in exchange for Donte Jackson and a sixth-round pick. So in total, the Panthers have essentially traded Donte Jackson (who has three interceptions for the Steelers) and two sixth-round picks in exchange for eight weeks of Diontae Johnson and the Ravens’ fifth-round pick - not exactly a well-run organization in Carolina.
