As we inch closer to NFL kickoff it’s time to get real regarding the Pittsburgh Steelers: put up or shut up.
The goal of each team before the season is to win the Super Bowl, but realistically, that wasn’t going to be the case for the Steelers the past three years. There were built-in excuses for both the team and the fan base that most could and would resort to whenever things weren’t so rosy.
In 2022, QB Ben Roethlisberger had a retirement tour at the age of 39, and although the Steelers made the playoffs, it was fair to think they wouldn’t win the Super Bowl with the terrible offensive line former GM Kevin Colbert constructed for his soon-to-be-retired signal-caller.
