Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antonio Brown was involved in a January domestic dispute, the Hollywood Police Department in South Florida confirmed to ESPN on Tuesday.
Hollywood Police, which investigated the dispute, will not have further comment until it has more details, according to spokeswoman Miranda Grossman.
"A false and frivolous complaint was filed against Antonio in January and it resulted in no action being taken against him," Brown's lawyer, Darren Heitner, said in a statement to ESPN. "This is a non-story that should not be taken seriously. We consider the matter closed and are focusing on promoting Antonio as the world class athlete and family man he has and will continue to be.
