Steelers work out 2 defenders Friday

Two defenders worked out for the Steelers on Friday, per a report by NFL insider Aaron Wilson. Pittsburgh hosted defensive tackle Nathan Pickering and cornerback Mikey Victor.

Pickering played college football at Mississippi State before going undrafted in 2024. He signed with the Seattle Seahawks but was waived due to injury ahead of the regular season. His final year in college, the 6’4, 314-pound defensive lineman recorded 27 total tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks.

You can read NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein’s scouting report of Pickering below:

Pickering carries an underdeveloped frame and below-average musculation, but he utilizes his length and determination to get to the football.
