The Pittsburgh Steelers officially placed RB Dreamius Smith on waivers Friday.
Smith, 24, wound up signing on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia back in May of 2015. However, he was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.
Smith was on and off of the Chargers’ practice squad and was cut loose with an injury designation coming out of the preseason. After later reverting to the Chargers’ injured reserve list, San Diego elected to cut him loose with an injury settlement before the regular season.
