The Pittsburgh Steelers made another transaction Thursday and it included them waiving former seventh-round draft pick, tight end Rob Blanchflower injured.
To replace Blanchflower on the 90 man roster, the Steelers claimed tight end Ray Hamilton off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys.
Hamilton, who played his college football at Iowa, was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cowboys in May. He caught just 29 passes for 305 yards during his four years at Iowa.
Blanchflower, who played his college ball at Massachusetts, failed to keep himself healthy once again this year.
