According to a Tuesday morning report, the Pittsburgh Steelers have waived quarterback Tajh Boyd and signed wide receiver Jarrod West.
The move isn’t overly surprising being as Boyd hasn’t even played a snap so far during the preseason. Also, with Bruce Gradkowski now back practicing again after starting training camp off on the PUP list, there’s no longer a need for four quarterbacks on the roster.
West, an undrafted rookie out of Syracuse, caught 134 passes for 1,836 yards and 4 touchdowns during his college career. He had worked out for the team last week but the Steelers ultimately signed David Nelson instead.
