Steelers Undrafted Rookie Tyler Murphy Might Run Scout Team This Week

Depending how things go in practice this week for starting Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, the game Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs could wind up featuring undrafted rookie free agent Tyler Murphy dressing as a backup behind Landry Jones.

Murphy, who spent time at both quarterbacks and wide receiver during training camp and the preseason, is currently a member of the team’s 10-man practice squad. With Mike Vick currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, Murphy admitted recently that he could be in charge of running the scout team this week during practice.
