Having brought you news of plans for a Pittsburgh-Steelers-themed roller coaster at nearby Kennywood Park last July, we have kept a close eye the ride’s progress over the past year or so and it would appear that “The Steel Curtain” will soon be open for business.
In a series of social media post on Saturday, Kennywood Park released several videos showing a completed track undergoing some practice runs ahead of an expected opening later this summer.
The final piece of track having finally been laid in the last few weeks.
Located in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, a short 20-minute ride from Pittsburgh, Kennywood Park will become home to the world’s tallest inversion roller coaster.
