DeAngelo Williams' project to purchase 53 mammograms for women in Charlotte and Pittsburgh -- the number honoring the age of his mother, Sandra Hill, when she died of breast cancer in May 2014 -- is off to a productive start, with the help of some teammates.
Several Steelers wore a pink T-shirt with "Pittsburgh in Stronger than Cancer" in white letters on the front.
Steel City Cotton Works connected with Williams, who let the company into the locker room to provide players with shirts. "If the NFL won't let De'Angelo Williams wear pink all season to honor his mom, then we will," the company says in the ad.
