It’s been an emotional year for the Steelers, from all that has gone on and off the field. It began with the death of Dan Rooney in April and as sorrowful as that occasion was for them all, the weeks and months have been an inspiration as well.
The season has been dedicated unofficially to the Steelers Hall of Famer ,and now comes the first playoff game in franchise history without him.
“Going out there for the first playoff game, I’m pretty sure his family and the whole team will be pretty emotional about it,’’ said Maurkice Pouncey, who first met Rooney as a rookie in 2010.
