The Steelers will start training camp with five players on the physically-unable-to-perform list because of injuries.
The most serious injury appears to be with reserve offensive tackle Mike Adams, who had a back procedure done on July 20. Tomlin said he will miss four weeks.
Also starting camp on the PUP list are backup quarterback Bruce Gradkowski (right shoulder), center Maurkice Pouncey (foot), outside linebacker Shawn Lemon (Achilles) and rookie cornerback Senquez Golson (shoulder).
Tomlin said he did not have time frames for anyone other than Adams. He did disclose the foot injury to Pouncey as “very minor.
