The Pittsburgh Steelers signed three more players from their practice squad to Reserve/Future contracts today, adding running back Anthony McFarland Jr., linebacker Chapelle Russell and defensive lineman Renell Wren, the team announced today.
Wren and McFarland Jr. both got NFL action this season, with Wren being elevated for the team’s final two games of the regular season and seeing action in place of outside linebacker Malik Reed. McFarland Jr., a former fourth-round pick, ran six times for 30 yards and added two receptions for 11 yards in Pittsburgh’s Monday Night Football win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12.
