The Pittsburgh Steelers rounded out their practice squad on Monday by signing running back Ralph Webb to the unit.
Webb, who was a member of the Steelers practice squad late last season, was with the team this past offseason and even on the 90-man roster at the start of training camp. Prior to the Steelers first preseason game this year Webb was waived injured. After clearing waivers he reverted to the Steelers Reserve/Injured list and not long after was waived again with an injury settlement.
Webb being signed to the practice squad on Monday could be taken as a sign that starting running back James Conner might not be able to practice this week due to him re-aggravating his shoulder injury early in the Thursday night game against the Cleveland Browns.
