One Steelers specialist signed, one more to go.
The Steelers signed punter Jordan Berry to a one-year contract Thursday. Berry, who was going to become a restricted free agent, has been the Steelers punter since 2015.
Place kicker Chris Boswell, who also is scheduled to become a restricted free agent, is one of the Steelers’ biggest priorities this offseason.
Berry has a 43.8 career average and had a career high 28 punts downed inside the 20-yard line last season. Berry, 26, beat out Brad Wing in the summer of 2015 and has played in 48 consecutive regular-season games.
