The Pittsburgh Steelers now have one of their sixth-round draft picks from this year back in the fold as outside linebacker Sutton Smith was signed to the team’s practice squad on Wednesday.
Smith, who was waived by the Steelers just prior to the start of the regular season, just recently spent a week on the practice squad of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Steelers drafted Smith this year in the sixth-round out of Northern Illinois. He registered 139 total tackles and 30 sacks during his college career and won the MAC’s Vern Smith Leadership Award (MVP) and repeated as the league’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2018.
