The Pittsburgh Steelers made one practice squad transaction on Tuesday and it included them signing back one of their undrafted rookie free agents.
Offensive lineman B.J. Finney was signed Tuesday and to make room for him on the 10-man practice squad, offensive lineman Barrett Jones was released.
Finney, who was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas State, was injured on the next to last play of the Steelers final preseason game. The fact that he wasn’t waived/injured after suffering that ankle injury was a good sign that he would ultimately be back with the team once fully recovered.
