The Steelers signed offensive lineman Jake Rodgers to a one-year contract Friday.
Rodgers, who was selected in the seventh round of the 2015 draft by the Atlanta Falcons, spent time on the Giants practice squad in 2015 and the Panthers practice squad last season.
The Steelers also on Friday released long snapper Kameron Canaday and waived/injured receiver Dez Stewart. Canaday became expendable when the Steelers used a sixth-round pick last week on Louisville long snapper Colin Holba, who will compete with incumbent long snapper Greg Warren for the job.
