The Steelers signed kicker Matt McCrane, who played with the Raiders and Cardinals this season.
McCrane has converted on five-of-nine field goal attempts and all five extra points this year. McCrane spent time with the Raiders early in the 2018 season, but was released by the Raiders and was signed to the Cardinals practice squad on Oct. 26. He was activated on Nov. 17 due to an injury to Phil Dawson, but was released two days later because Dawson was again healthy.
McCrane originally signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Kansas State following the 2018 NFL Draft.
