The Steelers may not sign any more players to contract extensions but they did lock up another one of their own.
General manager Kevin Colbert, on the job since 2000, will remain in it through at least the next three years after he signed a two-year extension, Steelers president Art Rooney II announced this morning.
Colbert’s new deal comes two days after the Steelers revealed they had reached a two-year extension with coach Mike Tomlin. Colbert’s contract goes through the 2018 draft while Tomlin’s goes through the 2018 season.
“Kevin’s work and footprint on our football operations have been a key factor in our success,” Rooney said.
