The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed center Barrett Jones to the teams practice squad today, PR man Burt Lauten announced on Twitter. They have released rookie Reese Dismukes in a corresponding move.
Jones was a decorated four year starter at Alabama, starting at right guard, left tackle, and center. He received the Outland Trophy in 2011 for college football’s best offensive lineman for his work at left tackle. He moved to center in 2012, his senior year, and won the Rimington Trophy for the nation’s top center.
