Steelers Show Interest In Two Pitt Players

With the Pittsburgh Steelers and the University of Pittsburgh football program sharing a facility, it’s no surprise that the Steelers had a sizable contingent on hand for Pitt’s Pro Day earlier this week, a group that included assistant general manager Andy Weidl. The Steelers met with at least two players there, according to Sportskeeda’s Tony Pauline, who reported that the Steelers had a meeting with LB Brandon George and WR Konata Mumpfield.

Both George and Mumpfield could wind up being Day 3 picks in April’s draft. George spent six seasons at Pitt but had his best year in 2024, totaling 80 combined tackles to go along with two sacks, six tackles for a loss, an interception and a forced fumble.
