Steelers safety Sean Davis fined for illegal hit in Lions game

Steelers safety Sean Davis is $24,309 lighter today after the NFL fined him for his unnecessary roughness penalty on Lions receiver Marvin Jones last Sunday.

Lions cornerback Quandree Diggs was fined $24,309 for his unnecessary roughness penalty on Steelers tight end Jesse James.

Both fines were levied because Jones and James were hit in the head.

Those were the only fines from the Steelers-Lions game. Lions defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson was ejected from the game for throwing a punch, but he was not fined.
