Sometimes storylines and narratives almost mute a victory (or defeat) for an NFL team. This would certainly be the case with Martavis Bryant reportedly requesting a trade recently—and the same could be said about Mike Mitchell’s low hit on Alex Smith in the Week-6 game.
The hit was a hot topic between the teams’ two fan bases, and the video has been gone over with a fine-toothed comb. Alex Smith gave his take on the play: “I thought (the hit) was pretty late, I mean when you get hit in the back of your knee like that I didn’t understand how that happened.
