When you are a rookie, sometimes it can make big performances seem even larger. For Steelers rookie wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, that certainly was the case vs. the Lions in Week 8.
Smith-Schuster’s performance didn’t just seem big, it was a large reason why the Steelers were able to escape Ford Field with a win heading into their bye week. The rookie’s performance, which included a 97-yard catch-and-run touchdown, earned him some NFL accolades.
JuJu Smith-Schuster is your AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
As stated above, Smith-Schuster is just the 2nd Steelers rookie to earn the honor, something Ben Roethlisberger did as a rookie in 2004.
